Paul and Jeanne Whittome invite you to holiday at Japalana Villa, Ballito - an exquisite and luxurious 6 bedroom villa with breathtaking panoramic views of Ballito Bay and the Indian Ocean. The villa boasts a rim flow swimming pool off the patio where you can relax and laze about on the sundeck and marvel at the 180 degree seaview. For the keen viewer the TV lounge has a plasma flat screen and D.S.T.V (no smart card is needed). The main sitting room can seat 14 people comfortably who just want to relax; there is a fully equipped kitchen, laundry and a dining room which can seat 14 people comfortably.
The house consists of the main house which sleeps ten (10) with an exquisite main bedroom ensuite bathroom (king bed), One double ensuite, two single and a bunk bed ensuite and one bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom on the passage. The cottage sleeps four (4) in one double bed ensuite and two single and a bathroom on the passage with a kitchen and lounge. The house is approximately 800m from the beach. Please bring own beach towels. Not suitable for wheelchairs and toddlers.
Our golden beaches and sheltered coves along the Dolphin Coast are ideal and our beautiful swimming beaches are protected by shark nets and attended by professional Life Savers. Ballito is undoubtedly the best spot for rock fishing along the North Coast, as many a happy fisherman can testify.
Take an exciting low altitude flight over Ballito and the surrounding coast in a piloted microlight. With the wind in your hair, see dolphins, whales and manta rays from the air as they swim in the ocean below. Visit a nearby crocodile breeding farm and see the crocodiles being fed, or have a meal yourself - try a crocodile dish at the restaurant onsite! For those feeling lucky, the Sibaya Casino offers a variety of small restaurants surrounding the casino floor.
A round of golf can be played at the recently upgraded Umhlali Country Club, whose 18-hole golf course is rated one of KwaZulu Natal's best. A second, superb golf course is the magnificent Zimbali Estate a stone's throw from Ballito.
A little further up the north coast, situated along the seafront and tucked away from the wind behind the natural sand dunes is the Prince's Grant Golf Course. Tennis and squash can be played at the Umhlali Country Club, where a warm welcome is extended to visitors. Guided out-rides on horseback through lush cane lands, from the stables to the beach and back again, can be a unique way to experience the natural beauty of the Dolphin Coast.
